Forgotten Town

Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

Forgotten Town is a single-player merge and mystery game published by Burak Yilmaz. This policy explains exactly what the game collects, why, and how you can stop it or delete it.

You can play the entire game — all 100 levels, all five cases — without an account, without a purchase and without watching a single advertisement.

What the game collects

Playing as a guest

Choosing Continue as Guest creates an anonymous account identifier. It is a random string. It is not linked to your name, your email or your device's advertising identifier, and we cannot use it to identify you. It exists so your saved town can be stored and recovered.

If the game cannot reach the network, guest play continues entirely on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.

Creating an account

If you sign in with Google, with Apple, or with an email address and password, we receive an account identifier and, where you provide one, your email address. We use these only to recognise you across devices and installs. We do not send marketing email.

Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real address; if you do, we only ever see Apple's private relay address.

Your saved town

When you are signed in, your save is stored against your account identifier so it survives a new phone or a reinstall. The save contains your board, inventory, coins, gems, energy, completed orders, restored areas, evidence, cases, and your sound and language settings. It contains nothing about you personally.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never see your card, billing address or full payment details. We receive confirmation of which product was bought and a transaction identifier, so we can grant what you paid for, restore it later, and avoid granting it twice.

Advertising

The game shows rewarded advertisements you choose to watch, and — from level 21 only, and only at natural breaks between levels — occasional interstitial advertisements. There are no banner advertisements and no advertisements when the game opens.

Advertising is served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier to select and measure advertisements. Buying Remove Ads permanently stops every forced advertisement.

Gameplay statistics

With your consent, we record which level was started or finished, merges, generator use, running out of energy, advertisement offers, store visits and case progress. This tells us where the game is too hard or too slow. It never includes your name, your email address or the contents of your save, and you can switch it off at any time in Settings → Privacy.

What the game never asks for

Forgotten Town requests no access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, location or files, and does not ask permission to send you notifications. If any app claiming to be Forgotten Town asks for these, it is not ours.

Children

Forgotten Town is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Who else processes this data

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone other than the processors above.

Where your data is held

Cloud saves are stored in Google data centres in the European Union. Depending on the service, data may be processed in other countries under the safeguards those providers offer, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Your account and save are kept until you delete them. Gameplay statistics are retained for up to 14 months. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices and your rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the use of your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to us and we will act within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app's release notes.
